Spider mites may appear to be l brown or yellow dots on the leaves of a plant are signs of a mite infestation, There are many other spider mites common in Texas, the southern red mite,  (McGregor) is similar to the two spotted spider mite.

 

Spider mite eggs usually take 4-5 days to hatch and adulthood is usually reached within a week. Generation from egg to adult occurs in 5 to 20 days, depending upon temperature. .
